What we do
When the floors start to slope or the doors start to stick, you need someone who can look under the house and tell you what’s going on. Finding a registered restumper who works in your suburb takes time. We do that part.
You send the form. We take down what you’re seeing, where, and what kind of house it is. If you agree, we pass your details to one independent restumper registered with the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC). They call you, inspect the house, quote and do the work. Your contract for the work is with them, not with us.
What we don’t do
We don’t do restumping, reblocking or underpinning, set prices, or employ restumpers, builders or engineers. We’re not the BPC, and we’re not connected with the City of Greater Geelong or Surf Coast Shire. We don’t pass your details to more than one restumper, and we don’t pass them on at all without your permission.
The restumpers we refer to
In Victoria, anyone who restumps or reblocks a home must be registered with the BPC, whatever the value of the work (Consumer Affairs Victoria). Before we send a restumper anything, we check their registration on the BPC’s public register and record their registration number and class. We also check their ABN on ABN Lookup and confirm that restumping is work they do.
Check for yourself too. The BPC’s public register shows whether a registration is current, what type of work it covers, and any conditions on it.
How we’re paid
Restumpers pay us for the enquiries we send them. You don’t pay us anything. Our referral marketing disclosure explains this in full.
